Great to hear all the new ideas for it for next year, especially Butteryum's idea for eggnog cake in the wreath form. And ideas for decorating it! I think the cake baked up beautifully, right to the pan top. I bit the bullet and acquired the fruit from ChefShop, and it was quite dear, but I wanted to do it just once to help it pass all 'fruitcake tests.' Mine is in the mail as surprise to friends, so will have to wait a few days to learn the results - I have a notion that she will love it.Alpha Baker Joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11362064527893799872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882070718279731833.post-28279822503836785042009-12-17T21:34:14.198-08:002009-12-17T21:34:14.198-08:00and here is my completed fruit cake. hope it tast...and here is my completed fruit cake. hope it tastes as good as it looks:

http://www.realbakingwithrose.com/2009/12/hectors_latest_leap.htmlhectorhttp://www.myyellowkitchen.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882070718279731833.post-39881706765717500332009-12-11T16:04:56.805-08:002009-12-11T16:04:56.805-08:00attention fruitcake (closeted) lovers, here is how...attention fruitcake (closeted) lovers, here is how i made the candied fruit for this WONDERFUL cake and equally wonderful cake pan. if you ask me which is my favorite nordicware pan, the holiday wreath it is.

http://myyellowkitchen.wordpress.com/2009/12/11/fruitcake-wreath-page-79-preparing-the-fruit/hectorhttp://www.myyellowkitchen.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8882070718279731833.post-29801093038481828272009-12-10T07:00:19.756-08:002009-12-10T07:00:19.756-08:00Oriana,
